The Restora Range

G & G Food Supplies was formed in 1965 by David and Sheila Gaiman, a qualified chemist. Initially marketing a pure Vitamin E extract, the company went on to become the first in Europe to provide a range of nutritional supplements that contained absolutely no fillers or additives and was totally of non-animal extract. Today G & G are the foremost producer of encapsulated supplements in Europe and a major producer of organic encapsulated products.

The Restora Range for professional practitioners evolved from a longstanding goal of G & G’s to develop effective solutions in the field of natural treatment. Priority was given to an optimum degree of bioavailability being achieved. Research and development centred around this criteria. Additionally, effective herbal formulas were researched that supplanted the use of bovine extracts.

Livestock epidemics have called into question the use of glandular animal extracts. Recent advances in phyto-nutrition have been enormous. These have resulted in formulae that work synergistically with the body, alleviating and resolving specific areas of malaise. Incorporating the fruits of some of these researches with many of the company’s own, new formulae were developed that addressed glandular and organ problems and circumvented the need for animal extracts.

Sourcing of top quality organic herbs for other treatments progressed and the Restora range developed. However, the factor of extra bioavailability still had to be met. After several tests it was decided that barley, nutritionally the richest of cereals, would be utilised.

The resultant, trademarked formula, Acti-zyme™, derives from Organic Pre-Sprouted Barley and Organic Barley Grass. Acti-zyme™, offers a blend of enzymes that enhance oxygen utilisation; provides a gelatinous medium, once ingested, that ensures stable release and negates problems with unfriendly bacteria or unbalanced pH levels; furnishes an amino acid ratio that mirrors the body’s and combines with the enzymes to assist metabolisation.

The Restora Range meets the original company goal of non-animal based products providing therapeutic, nutritional solutions for practitioners.
